Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1960 to an Automotive Engineer and General Manager of a Detroit Diesel manufacturing plant and a former Dancer / School teacher. The youngest of four boys, he was brought up with great values and was taught that the most important things to maintain in ones life, was to, above all else, stay true to your moral compass and keep your personal integrity. He strives to accomplish this in his daily personal and professional life.
In high school he was involved in several forms of athletics; Football, Rugby, and Track and Field as well as having an aptitude for math and science. Enrolled in Grand Valley State College in their Computer Science curriculum with an honorary Academic scholarship for his A.C.T. scores. He continued there for 2 years until he found his real passion, TELEVISION, when he helped a news crew during the 1980 republican convention in Detroit(no political ties). He immediately signed up for Broadcast Engineering courses at Specs Howard School for Broadcast Arts, and completed his studies in 1983. He then pursued many jobs as a Television Engineer and had great success with that career path.
Then in 1988, he became an independent contractor and started working for himself primarily as a Technical Director, amassing seven National Sports EMMY Award nominations with 4 wins by covering almost every major sporting event to be had, including multiple Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, and Indianapolis 500 races, Stanley Cup finals, World Series, World Cup, Soccer, College Bowl games and NCAA Final Four playoffs.
In 1994, he began a new phase of television, and wanted to apply his inherent creativity to his work, so off once again on a new path as a Director of Remote Sports telecasts. That continues today.
Father of three children; Brandon (1984); Kiersten (1987); and Conner (1989).
Re-married in 2004 at a wonderful beach setting on Maui Hawaii to his true soul mate Heidi.
HOBBIES: An intense love for SCUBA diving and an avid movie fan. He loves traveling, and enjoys learning about new cultures and meeting new people.
